Note the importance of context in the number exercises. In this particular case, "context" refers not only to the relation between question & answer in the video dialogues, but also to the way numbers are elicited in the quizzes, i.e., the grammatical context and use of the verb and other parts of speech before and after the numbers which are practiced.

Students hear questions about the video, and in many cases, the "answers" are provided by these separate audio files. Students must therefore practice both spoken and written skills. We do our best to make it easy for them, not by speaking slowly, but by providing the widest possible variety of input: pictures and simple texts to provide meaning, spoken questions which match the questions they read, and the constant availability of the Java applet so that they can compare their pronunciation to the "teacher's pronunciation" in the audio and video.
