In order to sign up for our Gold Pass service, and other Real English services requiring payment, a user must fill in a registration form. During registration, a user is required to provide contact information including name and email address, and essential billing information, i.e., name as it appears on credit card, credit card number, and expiration date. This information is solely used to create a user account. Your email address is used only for account management and to communicate with you. Once again, we do not sell, share, rent or give this information to anyone else.


Communication with you

We do not and will not send you any third party promotional marketing materials. The only email communication you receive from us is confirmation when we activate or deactivate your account, or are obliged to write to you about billing issues, or to notify you concerning a change in our contact information if such changes were to come about. All other email communication between Real English and yourself is for answering your enquiries, or to provide you with news directly related to the Real English site, such as announcements when new educational material is added to our site.

Online Security

The Real English site takes every precaution to protect your information. When you submit information to us through our web site, the information is protected both online and off-line.

Off-line Security: We also do everything possible to protect your information off-line. All of your information is restricted to our offices. Account Creation/Real English ONLINE registration

In order to use Real English ONLINE subscription portion of this Web site or to purchase a product/service from Real English, LLC, you must first complete the Real English ONLINE registration form, which includes the creation of a username and password, or complete a Create Account registration form. During registration/account creation you are required to give contact information (such as name, city, email address, phone number). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest and to manage your account information for adminstrative purposed. Information collected during account creation or Real English ONLINE registration is used only by Real English, LLC and is not available to any third parties.

You have the option to provide additional information to us during the account creation/Real English ONLINE registration; we encourage you to submit this information so we can provide you a more personalized experience on our site.

Real English ONLINE registration also asks you if you'd like to "opt-in" to receive the Real English newsletter, E-SLang, or if you'd like ot receive periodic announcements from Real English, and if you'd like more information on Real English Network or if you'd like to access the Real English Forum. These "opt-in" portions of registration for Real English ONLINE can be changed at anytime by you via the "Profile Update" page found on Real English ONLINE, Gold Pass and Gold Pass for Teachers subscription areas of real-english.com.

Real English LLC is the sole owner of the information collected on real-english.com. Real English collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site.

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and address, billing address, phone, company) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date and CSC code).

We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. Any information used to process transactions, such as credit card number, CSC code and expiration date are NOT stored by Real English, LLC or Real English payment processor, Verisign, Inc. Order information such as products/services purchased, date of purchase, price (total transaction amounts), date of subscription expiration (if subscription purchased) is stored by Real English, LLC and is used only by Real English LLC and is used only for managing your account and maintaining account history. Real English LLC does not share, lease, or sell any personal or order information that you have provided to any third party entity.

If, during your Real English ONLINE, Gold Pass or Gold Pass for Teachers subscription registration or purchase, you opted in to receive the Real English newsletter, E-SLang, or if you opted-in to receive periodic announcements, Real English, LLC may send you periodic email communications to the email address specified in your account profile as provided by you during your account creation/Real English ONLINE registration.

Surveys or Contests

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. We may also send you an email if you are a subscriber to Gold Pass, Gold Pass for Teachers and Real English ONLINE to alert you to upgrades or improvements that will make your experience better or if there are critical maintenance or technical issues that you need to be made aware of.

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account/cancel your subscription. If you wish to cancel your subscription to Real English ONLINE, Gold Pass or Gold Pass for Teachers, please email patlatreal-english.com and write "delete my account" in the subject line. Upon receipt of your account removal email, we'll send you a final email confirming your choice. In that "final email" you will receive a link to remove your account record from Real English, LLC. Removing your account from Real English LLC is final and all data provided by you will be purged completely.

Customer Service

Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us during Real English ONLINE registration, we will send you an Activation email to verify your username and password and to verify an active email account . This email must be read completely and the link in the email clicked to activate your account. This is to prevent unauthorized users to use your email address to access REal English ONLINE. If Real English ONLINE accounts are not activated within 7 days of receipt of Activation email, your information will be completely purged from Real English LLC system. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email and or by phone.

Profile

We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, to create a “profile” of your preferences. We tie your personally identifiable information, and [or] your purchasing history, to information in the profile, in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of the site for you.
